Purchased December 20, 2007 $79.99

Another good camera from Logitech. Currently I would rate this one as the best lower-end cameras, even with the list price of $80. But as I write this review I can now find it online for $35 at Amazon, and a friend just happened to email me as say she got one for $10 on sale somewhere.

Personally I like the manual focus feature. I have found the auto focus cameras tend to have fluctuations as they try to figure out what to focus on. It's been a while since I have seen a good quality image from a manual focus model. My only problem with manual focus cameras is when I place them on top of my monitor it is just a little too far away for me to reach to focus them with my short arms. Course that is my problem not the cameras.

The quality is much better than the Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX, undoubtably due to a better lens system. This camera does extremely well in all lighting conditions including very low light. While the 5000 still beats this camera in very low light, this one does much better in bright light.

Overall, a very good buy especially if you find one for below the manufactures recommended price.
